Finance Assistant

Reporting to: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Closing Date – 7 December 2021

Location

Bromsgrove

Salary Range: £26,000 to £30,000 depending on experience

Hours: 35 hours per week (Hybrid working arrangements – 3 days office based 2 days home working)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide support within the Trust Finance department in ensuring full and accurate financial
transactions and records.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
To assist with the following:

• Processing and posting purchase invoices
• Processing monthly business card payments and petty cash
• Bank Reconciliations
• Completing Tender documents and assigning tasks to various departments/staff
• Chasing overdue Debtor invoices
• Issue award certificates (Andrew Turner Awards)
• Answer questions and provide assistance to stakeholders, staff and carers as needed
• Support the CEO with Business Development
• Assisting Head of Finance with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
• Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency and cost reductions
• Plus any other duties as requested by the Management Accountant and Head of Finance

SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Appropriate GCSE levels or equivalent
• Good standard of numeracy
• Ability to understand and operate computerized finance packages would be an advantage (SAGE)
• A sound knowledge of both Word and Excel
• Neat, accurate presentation
• Accounts experience or qualification desirable
