Help us fundraise for The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice this September.
The West Yorkshire Team at The Children’s Family Trust are braving the waters at Pugney’s Country Park to raise funds for a fellow organisation close to our wonderful Foster Carers, The Forget Me Not children’s hospice.
The Forget Me Not children’s hospice cares for children with life-shortening conditions, their families and bereaved families across West Yorkshire. This year they need to raise more than £5.5million, and with only 10% coming from the government, your support is vital. Services our carers have benefitted from in their time caring for young people with life-limiting illnesses.
“Our team is made up of highly trained nurses, midwife, advanced clinical practitioners, physiotherapist, doctors, play specialists, therapists, social worker, family support workers, sibling support worker, bereavement support practitioners and counsellors – all working to provide the right care at the right time, tailored to each family’s individual needs.
Our purpose-built children’s hospice, Russell House, is a light, bright and colourful place with children’s and family bedrooms, play areas, good food and lots of support. The building is fully accessible with activities to meet a whole range of abilities – it’s a place the whole family can enjoy. And we also support families in their own homes and in hospital too.“
17 of our staff & foster carers have spent the year embracing the Dragon Spirit in preparation of the big day this September and we need all the support of our communities to help this hugely important organisation and the incredible work they do.
