One Egg-cellent Easter!

There was lots to be hoppy about over the Easter Period with all of our offices participating in various Easter Events.

We celebrated the most chocolate filled day of the year with lots of treats and activities for the children.

Our First Easter Event was in the West Midlands on March 30th with our Foster families coming in and getting creative. The children made some very yummy treats including Cornflake Nests and Bunny Biscuits and got crafty by making Easter Cards and basket for the Easter Egg Hunt. The Children also played ‘pin the tail’ games & took part in the Easter Bonnet parade with Rio & Gracie being crowned as this year’s winners!

The North East had a very special visit from some Crazy Creatures! John and his assistant came in and introduced the

children to their tarantula, giant Burmese python, 2 Adders, a pygmy hedgehog, 2 bearded dragons, a tortoise, 4 baby rabbits and 2 rats. All children had the opportunity to hold the animals which they all very bravely did!

The Easter event for Yorkshire was held at Castleford Xscape this year and started with all the young people joining in in the Easter Egg hunt.  The young people followed the clues through the centre leading to Ten pin bowling. Easter Bunny greeted everyone and handed them their Easter Egg. Bowling was great fun, lots of healthy competitiveness from young people and adults, much fun was had by all. To end the event carers and young people went for a well-earned meal!

Our Easter Party in the South was held at a local church hall where the carer and children played a range of activities and games, such as indoor tenpin bowling, giant snakes and ladders, connect 4, splat the rat, oversized football (for outdoors!). There was even a craft table, and children and staff produced some lovely Easter themed items, including a fantastic Easter bonnet. Everyone enjoyed lovely party food and set up an Easter egg hunt – The children really enjoyed the games and looking for the eggs, which were well hidden by the older children inside and outside!

As you can imagine, everyone had a brilliant time and we would like to thank all those who helped in organising and participating in the events.
