The CFT are thrilled and incredibly grateful to receive a cheque for £676.50 from the ‘Helen Lamb School of Dance’, ran by our very own Foster Carer, Helen Hubbert.
Helen has lead her dance school for 26 years teaching children from 2 years of age to adults in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, disco and gymnastic dance.
Every two years the school puts on a show where all pupils take part and the shows are themed. This year the theme was “The Four Seasons”. The show started with Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and went from spring through to winter.
The group performed three evenings and sold programmes and raffle tickets at each. All the proceeds from the events go to charities which are chosen by the dance school. One of these charities is always Hannah House, which is a respite centre in Rothwell, Leeds, and the other charity chosen this year was The CFT. The money was split between our two charities equally and Helen presented a very large cheque to our CEO, Marina Mulholland, at our Foster Carer Team Meeting in Yorkshire.
A huge thank you to Helen and everyone involved in the dance school for working so hard to raise this money, it is greatly appreciated by all.
