Support Worker – Midlands
We are currently seeking a part-time Support Worker to join our busy Midlands Office team in Bromsgrove.

Our staff are an integral part of our success and we are seeking to recruit a Part-time Support Worker, working 20 hours per week, to join our busy Midlands Team.
This role includes specific tasks in relation to the management of foster carers, supporting foster carers in their care of children, direct work with children and young people, facilitating and supervising contact between children in care and their birth families, organising events for foster carers and children. A key part of the role will be responding quickly in times of crisis to support foster carers with the challenges of looked after young people, therefore flexibly will be required. Completion of written feedback to the Social Worker within specific timeframes relating to the support visit completed.

The successful candidate will have a basic knowledge of the effect of the care system on children/young people, experience of working with young children and a basic knowledge of foster care practices. You will be able to work closely and cooperatively with colleagues, have good communication skills, a professional approach to working with children, young people and foster carers, willingness to extending your knowledge and skills and a genuine desire to fulfil the responsibilities of an evolving role.
