We are expanding our East Midlands Fostering services and need Foster Carers in Derby and neighbouring areas to help us take care of vulnerable children in Foster Care.
Foster care provides a safe, stable and secure home to help children and young people realise their full potential.
While there is no upper age limit to become a foster parent, you will need to be 21 years old or over, be relatively fit and healthy and have a spare room available for a foster child or children.
You should be a warm and nurturing person, with the patience and understanding required to help care for a child who may not have had the best start in life.
Could you be the positive influence our foster children need?
Young people and children come into care for many reasons and are in need of different types of Foster Placements.
We are interested in hearing from all kinds of people who feel that they can offer one or more types of foster care. To learn more about the different types of Fostering please click here.
The CFT is an independent fostering agency that supports and enriches all of our Foster Parents
Our independent fostering charity prides itself on the service we give to all of our Foster Carers and as such, we want to ensure that our Carers are fully trained and well supported every step of the way.
We offer our Carers highly competitive payment fees and a generous benefits package that will help them to give excellent care to the children in their care.
As a Foster Parent in the Derby area you would be assisted and encouraged by our East Midlands team, who will provide 24 hour out-of-hours support and ongoing Foster Care Training, as well as regular social events and meetups to help Carers network with other CFT Carers in their area.
