As a Charity, The Children’s Family Trust is managed by a Board of Trustees. It is the role of the Trustees to provide leadership and to develop and review a clear long term strategy for The CFT. The Board delegates the principal day-to-day decisions to the Chief Executive, Marina Mulholland.
The majority of our funding is received as a result of the services we provide to Local Authorities. A smaller amount of income is received from charitable donations and legacies. Our annual budget takes into consideration the needs of all of the children and young people we care for. As such we provide funding for additional services including education support and therapeutic services. Monies are also set aside every year to help support our young people who have reached 18 and beyond who need financial support to establish themselves within the community and workplace, this might include driving lessons, home furnishings, educational fees etc.
Where necessary the Trust uses surplus monies to provide additional support to children and young people. This can be through the use of internal and external services. Examples include therapeutic and educational support.
